Round Rock ISD: “School of Thought”

Over the past three years a series of grants I designed and authored transformed the school where I work into “A School for Enrichment and the Environment.”  The grants and some effectively aligned community relationships resulted in the creation of nature-based, flexible learning environments like edible gardens, pollinators gardens, a rain garden, nature playground (we call it “The Grove”) and a 1500 square foot, off-grid, solar powered “Nature to Neighborhood Studio.”  This video features The Grove, which included two opportunities for students to participate in the design process:  overall design; and, the rain garden feature.
